Meet Margeaux
Margeaux F. Mernick, Esq.
Founding Partner
Margeaux F. Mernick is a transactional business law attorney who has serviced the legal needs of small businesses for over 17 years. Mernick Law is located in the Riverside area, but services the Inland Empire and beyond, along with the engagement of additional attorneys when necessary to support ongoing client needs in the practice areas listed above.
The firm focus is corporate transactional matters, and advising for profit and nonprofits regarding corporate structure, formalities, partnership and shareholder agreements, vendors, customers, obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status, and guiding them through conversions and acquisitions. Ms. Mernick worked for several years as an outside general counsel for a major manufacturing and distribution company negotiating complex agreements supporting client activities. She has helped many start-ups and ongoing businesses achieve similar growth by protecting client products, services and revenue.
Ms. Mernick also assists business law clients with trademark and copyright registration or maintenance, e-commerce, and trade secret protection planning, and when necessary associating with colleagues in these areas.
Prior to working with small businesses in solo practice, Ms. Mernick’s legal career began in the area of land use, environmental, and municipal law through her work with governmental entities at a boutique law firm in Los Angeles and the City Attorney's office in Thousand Oaks, California. She also worked for several years as an outside general counsel for a major manufacturing and distribution company negotiating complex agreements supporting client activities.
Ms. Mernick earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a minor in business administration from Mount St. Mary's College in Brentwood, California. Her Juris Doctorate degree was earned from the Pepperdine University School of Law, in Malibu, California in 2002. Ms. Mernick has also been recognized as the UCLA Hagman Conference Scholar for Land Use Law and Planning by the American Bar Association.
